Mapxus has been selected as a Top 40 semi-finalist in the NVIDIA Inception Grand Challenge 2026, advancing from a field of more than 500 startups across APAC.
The competition has progressed through the Top 150 and Top 80 stages to the current Top 40 Semi-Finals. On 21 August, the Mapxus team will pitch live in Singapore for a place in the Top 20 Finale.
Bringing spatial intelligence into the Physical AI era
For the Grand Challenge, Mapxus is addressing a question closely connected to the future of facility and property operations: how can buildings provide the spatial context that AI systems need to understand and operate within physical environments?
Our approach is to create a shared spatial knowledge base by structuring information about indoor spaces, routes, facilities and points of interest.
Today, this type of spatial data supports indoor mapping, positioning and navigation. As AI agents and robotics become more involved in physical environments, the same foundation could provide valuable context about where things are, how spaces connect and how movement through a building can be supported.
The Top 40 semi-finalists will pitch across the regional Semi-Finals in August, with 20 startups advancing to the Finale on 22 September.
