Mapxus Collaborates with Kawasaki Heavy Industries to Provide Advanced Indoor Mapping and Positioning Services for Narita International Airport

We are delighted to announce our collaboration with Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd.(KHI)*1 to provide the iPNT-K™ indoor positioning service for the official website of Narita International Airport*2 launching on February 21, 2024. This collaboration is the result of joint efforts between Mapxus and KHI, with the goal of providing more convenient navigation services for passengers at Narita International Airport.

Utilizing Mapxus' hardware-free indoor mapping and positioning services, we offer real-time location-based information to passengers at Narita InternationalAirport. This web based digital map can be seamlessly operated as part of the website without the need to install applications on smartphones. By leveraging this intuitive interface, users can navigate large facilities effortlessly with the help of location information and the airport's route guidance function.

  • Navigate the web based indoor map of Narita International Airport via smartphones, computers, and so on.
  • Supports multiple languages: Japanese, English, Korean, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional).
  • Seamless indoor navigation service allows users to choose between regular and barrier-free routes (elevator priority route).
  • Smartphones display users’ current location within the facility*3.

 

The goal of this collaboration is to leverage our AI indoor mapping and positioning technology to enhance the user travel experience. It emphasizes the transformative power of cutting-edge technology in delivering seamless navigation solutions within complex environments, addressing the diverse needs of countless travelers at Narita International Airport.

With a click, users can access digital floor map from the homepage. Customized UI(User Interface) designed and implemented by teamLab*4 provides an up-to-date customer experience on airport floor maps.
